>> About The book The World of Organic Agriculture 2008 presents a global overview of organic farming. It represents the eight edition of the global yearbook on organic farming. The book contains statistical information about organic farming world wide, land use and crop information. Furthermore the study features a chapter on the market situation and emerging trends for all continents, provided by experts of the organic sector. The book is published jointly by the Research Institute of Organic Agriculture (FiBL), and the International Federation of Organic Agriculture Movements (IFOAM). The project is funded by NürnbergMesse, the organisers of the BioFach World Organic Trade Fair. Since 2008 the global organic survey is also supported by Swiss State Secretariat of Economic Affairs SECO (within the framework of its support activities for organic production in developing countries) and the International Trade Centre (ITC). A hardback version is available from Earthscan, London.
