From August 25-27, 2009 the international scientific conference 'Fostering healthy food systems through organic agriculture – focus on Nordic-Baltic region' will take place in Tartu, Estonia.
The conference constitutes Seminar 422 of the Nordic Association of Agricultural Scientists 
NJF.
The aim is to provide opportunities for the exchange of knowledge and further scientific co-operation in Nordic-Baltic region. Conference is open to all fields of research involved in organic agriculture. The main topics are:
- Soil fertility and nutrient management
- Organic field crop production
- Organic horticulture
- Farming systems and environmental impacts
- Animal health and husbandry
- Food quality and human health
- Marketing, economy and policy
