Standards and Regulations
The new Canadian organic label
The Canadian products regulation will come into force on June 30, 2009. The Organic Products Regulations will require mandatory certification to the National Organic Standard for agricultural products represented as organic in international and inter-provincial trade, or that bear the federal organic agricultural product legend (or logo).

The logo
- The use of the new Canada Organic Regime logo is described in the Organic Products Regulation (page 370). Any organic product may bear the logo, unless it is a multi-ingredient product with less than 95 % organic ingredients.
