The webpage www.organicsyria.com, was established in the framework of an FAO project on the institutional development of organic farming in Syria, implemented by the General Commission for Scientific Agricultural Research (GCSAR) and the Ministry of Agriculture. The homepage informs about the project and about the general situation of organic farming in Syria. In Syria, there has been a growing interest by scientists, farmers, trade operators and the Syrian Government in organic agriculture.
