Eurostat data tables on organic farming

Since 2005 Eurostat has made extensive statistics and data tables available at its homepage. These cover organic farms and organic land, but they also inform on land use, production and all operator types. According to the new EU regulation on organic production, th EU member states are obliged to deliver data on organic agriculture to Eurostat annually

Eurostat reports on organic farming

Eurostat, the statistical office of the European Union, provides the data collected by the European Union's member states. The data are based on the information of the organic inspection bodies. 

Evey two years, Eurostat releases a major report on the status of organic farming in the European Union. The analysis focuses on the data of the organic area (fully converted and under conversion), including the relationship between organic area and the total Utilised Agricultural Area (UAA), and on the data of registered organic operators (producers, processors, importers).
