FAO Statistics

FAOSTAT provides time-series and cross sectional  data relating to food and agriculture for some 200 countries. 

The following statistics of relevance to the data collection on organic farming are available at the FAOSTAT homepage

The Food and Agriculture Organisation FAO has set up a database ("Organic AIMS") with country information on organic agriculture.

The following aspects are covered: Legal and institutional framework, institutions and experts. Selected documents are made available. So far only a few countries are covered but within the next years the information system should provide extensive information on organic farming in most countries of the world.

Furthermore, at the Organic-AIMS homepage data on organic farming are collected.
