April 6-7, 2010: International Conference on Organic Farming (ICOF) in Khartoum, Sudan

The International Conference on Organic Farming (ICOF) is organised by the College of Agricultural Studies (CAS) in Khartoum, Sudan.

The main objective of the conference is to provide an opportunity for updating scientific information on different aspects of organic farming in Sudan - from farmers to consumers. 

Experts, researchers, scientists, students and those interested in organic farming are invited to submit their abstracts describing their innovative contributions to the multidisciplinary areas of organic farming. Accepted full papers will be published in proceedings as well as in a special issue of the Journal of Science and Technology (SUST).

Conference Themes

Technical paper submissions covering a broad range of organic production should complement the main conference themes.

Papers Format

Abstracts for oral and poster presentations should be limited to 400 words in single spacing Times New Roman Font size 12. The title should be in capital letters, bold and 14 point. The abstract should briefly summarize the individual’s or group’s work, with particular emphasis on describing the problem, solution, results, and conclusions. Name of corresponding author’s (including the e-mail address) as well as the names of co-authors and their affiliations should appear below the title font 12. In case of many authors, underline the presenter. 

The registration for presentation and participation is free of charge.

Important dates

  • Deadline for the submission of abstracts: 31st January, 2010.
  • Notification of acceptance: 15th February, 2010.
  • Deadline for submission of full paper: 15th March. 2010.
  • Conference date: 6 – 7th April, 2010.
