For Andre Leu the launch of the of the Technology Innovation Platform of IFOAM is a significant milestone and as important as the meeting that occurred 40 years ago in Versailles that started IFOAM and the global organic movement. Leu said "I see today as an important step in moving organic agriculture towards being a system of good practices based on credible science."
Leu sees the following prioirities for the work of TIPI: Yields, soil carbon sequestration, eco–functional Intensification, post-harvest, economics, and the communication with the wider scientific community.
