European Union: Updated list of inspection bodies and control authorities now available

The European Commission has recently published an updated list of public authorities and approved private inspection bodies.

Compliance with the

regulation on organic agriculture is supervised by the EU Member States. 

Each EU Member State has designated a number of public authorities and/or approved private inspection bodies to carry out the inspections.

All inspection bodies or inspection authorities act under the supervision or in close cooperation with the central competent authorities of the Member States.

An updated list of these bodies can now be downloaded from the organic farming pages of the European Commission.
