Videos of the keynote speeches and panel discussions conducted at the February 2012 Canadian Organic Science Conference in Winnipeg are now available online, including the paper "Organic Research in Canada: Still Small, but Roaring" by the former director of the Organic Agriculture Centre of Canada (www.OACC.info), Professor Ralph Martin. Derek Lynch of OACC spoke on productivity and environmental benefits of Organic Farming Systems. Kathleen Delate Professor Department of Horticulture at Iowa State University presented data on the long-term agroecological research project at Iowa State.
The conference featured panels on soil fertility, quality and health; livestock productivity, health and welfare; greenhouse production; food, sustainability and organic systems; fruit and vegetable field crops; cereal-based cropping systems; extension of organic research and social science and organic agriculture. Panelists presented current research, education and extension efforts.
