On November 24, the French Minister of Agriculture, Stéphane Le Foll, visited the winemaker consortium, Les Enherbeurs, in Faugères (west of Montpellier, France), which collaborates with INRA, a partner in the FertilCrop project.

This farmers' consortium aims at better managing cover cropping and soil quality in organic vineyards. Les Enherbeurs aims to develop sustainable cover crops in vineyards located in a semi-arid climate. The idea is to conserve soil and introduce practices in plant protection; the consortium thus contributes to the research of the FertilCrop project. Les Enherbeurs is one of several  economic and ecological interest groupings (GIEE) in the region.
