The last sentence of the section "Almost 58 million hectares of organic farmland – Australia has the largest area" should read:

The countries with the most organic agricultural land are Australia (27.1 million hectares), Argentina (3.0 million hectares), and China (2.3 million hectares).

Page 255, Table 65

The last 2 lines of Table 65 should read as follows

  • Per capita consumption in Europe in 2016: 41 euros
  • Per capita consumption in the European Union in 2016: 61 euros

Estonia: Data on organic wild collection

By mistake, FiBL did not update the wild collection data for Estonia after 2013. Updated data for the wild collection area have now been received and the correct data are as follows:

  • 2014: 129'790 hectares
  • 2015:  93'148 hectares
  • 2016: 613'138 hectares
  • 2017: 260'662 hectares
